The show must go on despite strong wind

The weather put a spoke in the competitors and organiser's wheel. The afternoon flights in classes F4C (radio control), F4G (large) and F4H (stand off) at Rudniki airfield scheduled for 2 p.m. were postponed due to rain and heavy wind and finally they started at 4 p.m. Fortunately, the flights in class 4FB were successfully finished before lunch.
The pilots in all classes fly their aircraft in front of a panel of judges.There are three rounds of flights in each class. However, only two best flights are taken into consideration while preparing a list of final results. |

The judges have done static judging of the scale models during the 21st World Championships for Scale Model Aircraft. The best model in class F4B belongs to a Polish competitor Piotr Zawada. Peter McDermott from Great Britain built a model that has the highest score in class F4C. |

Sunday was the first day of the contest open to general public. The competitors of the 21st World Championships for Scale Model Aircraft have started the first round of flights. The spectators looked at the models, admired flying skills of the pilots and enjoyed themselves. |

Scale Model Masterpieces
The 21st World Championships for Scale Model Aircratf in class F4B and F4C were officially opened on Saturday at Rudniki Airfield near Częstochowa. The competitors from four continents take part in this important contest. They brought here their masterpieces – aircraft models, perfect replicas of their full-size counterparts. |
